The blend for this wine is 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon picked
from old vines and aged in French oak, half new, for ten months. The
color of this wine is so dark it clings to the glass. The nose is
generous and warm-fruited with pure black berry jam, bay leaf, sage and
cocoa powder. In the mouth this is long and complex with dense, ripe
fruit that lingers on and on. A great drinker now but built for aging
too.
