7 Deadly Zins 2006
A sinful blend indeed!  Our flagship Zinfandel was devised by the two Phillips brothers in their search for a blended Zin so captivating that no one could refuse.  With consistency in mind, the brothers decided to blend the fruit of Lodi’s finest growers to fill the bottles of Michael~David’s new-fangled wine. In the end, seven vineyards were chosen for their superiority.  Now, how do you label a wine so unique in style? Looking to their past, the two Phillips brothers quickly related the Seven Sins from their Catholic school upbringing to the seven Old Vine Zinfandels blended in their wine.
Lustful Flavors:
A vibrant, sweet bouquet of raspberry jam, molasses and cinnamon toast evoke the senses of carefree youthful nights.  Excellent oak integration provides silken tannins and spice to pair with Lodi’s unrestricted wild berry fruit.
Gluttonous Pairings:
Our 7 Deadly pairs sinfully well with BBQ’d Salmon, prime rib or grilled veggies.  Get crazy with delectable dark chocolate desserts!

A to Z Rose
Gorgeous aromas of fresh pure strawberries, raspberries, provincial herbs, wildflowers, juicy cherries, watermelon and mixed spices. The wine is brightand lush, at the same time finishing clean and crisp. Full of flavor and pleasure, the 2006 Rosé is a perfect wine with all types of food and will drink wonderfully over the next year.  The 2006 A to Z Rosé comes from Sangiovese grapes grown in Southern Oregon’s Del Rio Vineyard located 36 miles north of the California border.  The block is on a Southwest facing slope composed of large oval river rocks.  Daytime temperatures in the summer can reach 100 degrees, while the nights
always fall back to the 40s, perfect conditions for bolder reds. Harvested just shy of peak ripeness to retain bright acidity and aromas and flavors of fresh red fruits, the grapes were destemmed, crushed and left to sit for one to three days.
We pressed the grapes, settled the juice overnight and then racked to stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation was blocked to retain brightness and juiciness. 3,000 -750 ml bottle cases were made.  The 2006 Oregon growing season started late and wet needing more sprays than normal to keep the mildew at bay. Great weather for flowering set the largest crop that that we have seen in a few years, a still modest 2.5 tons/acre average (opposed to 1.4 – 1.8 tons/acre like we saw in 2003, 2004 and 2005).
In Southern Oregon we had the best of all worlds, higher yields, but smaller clusters with smaller berries. June and July were gorgeous and hot, but cooled appreciably in August to begin a soft, slow slide into harvest. It stayed relatively mild in the south after a bit of rain late in August and early September allowing a slow, even ripening of epic importance. We were able to pick
beautifully ripe small-berried clusters at our leisure. The 2006 vintage will be remembered in Southern Oregon as the finest in recent memory.

Aalto Aalto PS 2003
P.S.(Pagos Seleccionados). This wine will be a super-premium wine, made only in years when the quality of the harvest allows for the highest standards. A special and careful selection of the best fruit, from specific vineyards, leading to batch fermentation and individual barriques leads to the name.

The Wine Advocate
The 2003 Aalto PS is purple/black with an unusually expressive nose for this hot vintage. It reveals smoke, toast, vanilla spice, blueberry, and blackberry jam. This is followed by a fleshy wine with excellent depth and full-body.

The Wine Spectator Hard to resist this lush, modern red, with its mouthwatering blackberry and boysenberry fruit and lavish toasty vanilla oak. But has plenty of structure, with ripe tannins and fresh acidity, so give it time to develop. Drink now through 2015.

Ruby-red. Intense perfume of boysenberry, sexy oak spices, vanilla and candied flowers. The concentrated flavors of red and dark berries and vanilla are almost sweet but are nicely lifted by juicy acidity. Finishes lush, broad and long, with supple tannins.

AVV Syrah 2005
The Alexander Valley is a phenomenal place to grow Bordeaux varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, but what we've discovered over our years of grape-growing is that Rhone grapes like Syrah do pretty well here too.
The 2005 displays big aromas of blueberries and sandalwood along with a subtle nose of violets. On the palate, there are rich flavors of blackberries, allspice and hints of black licorice and menthol.
We were able to preserve all those lush flavors by being rigorous in the vineyard. The 2005 vintage delivered the kind of conditions that meant a big harvest. With Syrah, that could have meant washed out flavors. Dramatically culling the fruit in our vineyards, thus keeping the yields down, meant we could deliver a concentrated Syrah reflective of the Alexander Valley.

The texture is ripe and soft in the mouth, with bright cherry fruit flavors and a soft, lingering finish. Bordelet Poire Authentique
A former sommelier at a 3 star restaurant places his passion for wine into his production of first class Normandy cider. Old trees, low yields and terroir mean as much to cider as they do to wine. Champagne like and dry, the pear aromas are subtly balanced by citrus and white flowers that linger long into the finish.

Bordelet Poire Granit

Poiré Granit actually has 75-80 grams of sugar per liter, yet it doesn't taste particularly sweet. This is due to the tannin and acidity, which Bordelet says is twice as high as the apple!

Bordelet Sydre Argelette

The Argelette, Eric notes, "is more winey. Some vintages have to stay in the cellar longer. Argelette is the type of soil and it's the same 40-40-20 blend of the other apple ciders." This tends to have more skin contact, he explains.

Bordelet Sydre Doux

The Sydre "Doux" is an off-dry apple cider, with about 80 grams per liter of sugar, yet it is beautifully balanced. A Brut apple has but about 5-10 grams per liter, so it's drier than many Brut Champagnes!

Brunier Telegramme CDP 2004
It pours clear garnet, very light in color for a Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It seems light on the nose and palate, too, opening with a vinous scent of raspberries, spice, faint vegetal notes and a high-toned whiff of volatile acidity. It's a little more inviting in its flavor, juicy and very tart, simple red fruit and white pepper over almost sour acidity, on the thin side.

Bruno Michel Cuvee Blanche
53% Pinot Meunier and 47% Chardonnay from a blend of 2003, 2002  and 2001. This is an extremely complex cuvée with hints of exotic fruits, lime, floral and minerals. The nose is extra-ordinary – floral, mineral, citrus zest – extending onto an unctuous palate with pin-point acid. The Chardonnay component is fermented in oak giving this a luscious smoky character. A ‘tour de force’.
