Intense
liquorice, ripe prune Shiraz characters on the nose with interesting
notes of coconut, orange peel and smoke. The palate is powerful, thick,
round, juicy and shows all the hallmarks of good Shiraz treated with
sensitivity to produce a great wine. It has extraordinary weight and
viscosity. It shows generous sweet fruit balance with perfect acidity
and chocolate like tannins. The finish is dry and harmonious and lovely
fruit flavours linger on the palate. Dark-coloured and richly
concentrated with some raisiny aromas and sweet-fruited, high extract
palate that really satisfies. Plum and fruitcake flavours; soft
and long lasting on the finish. For big red lovers! Best now to

Advocate #161 (Oct 2005) Robert Parker 90 points. Made from younger
vines, the full-bodied, ripe, well-endowed, heady 2003 Shiraz exhibits
earthy blackberry/chocolate notes, a touch of sweet earth, and a
full-throttle finish. Although it is the least complex of this quartet,
it is substantial in the mouth.
